Insomniac Games has no plans to release a playable demo for its forthcoming title, Spider-Man 2, and the suits included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will not be available in other editions.
The official Insomniac Games Twitter account revealed that the studio does not plan on releasing a demo for Spider-Man 2, and that the unique suits included with the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game will not be offered to owners of other editions.
In response to a Twitter user who spoke against the practice of locking in-game outfits to one specific edition of the game, Insomniac Games stated that the situation is basically equivalent to the 9 suits offered in the first game. In order to gain access to those suits, players had to have bought the Digital Deluxe Edition. On the plus side, these suits aren’t locked behind pre-orders and will, therefore, continue to be available, and those who are on a tight budget will be able to pick it up during a sale.
The Digital Deluxe edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, priced at $79.99 / £79.99 / €89.99 / ¥9,980 MSRP. This package includes the game itself, along with all the pre-order incentives. On top of that, players will be treated to a collection of 10 unique suits, with 5 specifically designed for Peter and another 5 for Miles. As an added bonus, this edition will also grant access to additional Photo Mode frames and stickers, along with 2 extra skill points.
What makes this edition special is the collaboration with talented guest artists from the realms of comics, films, and PlayStation Studios. The 10 suits featured in this edition have been meticulously crafted by renowned artists Kris Anka, Julia Blattman, Sweeney Boo, Anthony Francisco, Raf Grassetti, Jerad Marantz, Joel Mandish, Darren Quach, and Victoria Ying. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be arrive in store shelves on October 20th, 2023, exclusively on PS5.
