Battlefield 2042 is a 2021 first-person shooter, developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts. The series’ twelve main entry was made available on November 19, 2021, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Battlefield 2042 lacks a single-player campaign and is exclusively multiplayer, in contrast to earlier entries. It features cross-platform play support, a first for the series.

Due to the game’s setting in the near future, the game includes cutting-edge tools and equipment like deployable turrets and drones in addition to player-controllable vehicles. Players can ask for a vehicle to be dropped off anywhere. The game added a “Plus” system that enables players to instantly customize their weapons. The four distinct classes from previous games have been removed in favor of specialists, who fit into one of the four gameplay classes used in classic Battlefield games: Assault, Engineer, Medic, and Recon.
