Samurai Shodown Update 1.10 and 1.11 Details Shared

Samurai Shodown is getting update 1.10 today along with another update 1.11 soon. Fans of the game should also look forward to picking the second season pass.

Samurai Shodown launched with a season pass that was available for free to almost everyone. It didn’t matter if you owned the game or not, the season pass could be purchased for free. The first season pass added six characters.

SNK has shared a video detailing these upcoming characters that will be basically released almost every month beginning with August.

Here are the upcoming characters along with their launch month. Shizumaru Hisame will be given for free and she was one of the surprise new additions announced at Evo 2019.

  • Rimururu (August)
  • Shizumaru Hisame (September) (Free)
  • Basara (October)
  • Kazuki Kazama (November)
  • Wan-Fu (December)

SNK has also announced a second season pass for the game. One of the characters that were revealed for it was the result of a fanart contest. According to SNK, Mina Majikina is the first announced character for Season Pass 2.

In other news, SNK Community Manager confirmed that Rimururu will be available as part of the Samurai Shodown update 1.10 which is out today. This patch will include support for Rimururu for those who have the first season pass. This will be followed by Samurai Shodown update 1.11 which “will include character balances and QoL improvements in the casual match mode.”

The game is available now for PS4 and Xbox One. It is also expected to launch later for PC and Nintendo Switch. This is a brand new reboot for the series that ditches the traditional 2D Sprite style for a full-blown 3D fighter. It was released on June 25, 2019, for PS4 and Xbox One.
