Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 Xbox Series X|S vs PC Graphics Comparison

Xbox Game Studios and Ninja Theory’s action adventure game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Read ahead to learn how both versions compare in terms of visuals.

In terms graphical settings, the PC version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is largely identical to the Xbox Series X version. Though, anisotropic Filtering appears to be lower on the console compared to the highest option available on PC. On the other hand, the Xbox Series S version has received cutbacks in terms of texture quality, shadow quality, reflections, and level of detail.

In terms image quality, the Xbox Series X version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 operates at a dynamic resolution that maxes out at 2560 x 1070 and commonly runs at 2304 x 963. On the other hand, the Xbox Series S version operates at a dynamic resolution that maxes out at 1920 x 803 and commonly runs at 1472 x 615. Meanwhile, the PC has the option to deliver native 4K on capable hardware. In addition, better image reconstruction options like DLSS, XeSS, and FSR are available on the platform.

With regards to performance, both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 target a frame rate of 30 fps, but don’t maintain it on a consistent basis. The frame rate on both consoles can even drop into the low 20s at times. Meanwhile, the PC version offers the option to play at higher frame rates on capable hardware, and it also supports Frame Generation via DLSS3 to smooth out any visual inconsistencies due to fluctuations n performance.

As far as load times are concerned, the PC version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 loads the quickest, followed by the Xbox Series S version, and then the Xbox Series X version. The difference is minor, however.

All in all, the PC version of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the one to play, as it can not only deliver better performance and image quality on capable hardware.
