It appears that more of Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei games are headed over to Xbox Game Pass in the near future.
According to a well-known Spanish leaker, Shin Megami Tensei: Soul Hackers 2 will be coming soon to Microsoft’s premium game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass.
The individual in question, eXtas1stv, has previously leaked information regarding projects under development at Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, as well as Activision Blizzard. Microsoft has yet to confirm the leak, though it is expected that an announcement will happen soon.
Soul Hackers 2 is a 2022 role-playing video game developed by Atlus. It was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S by Sega in all other regions and by Atlus in Japan. The game is the fifth in the Devil Summoner series, which is a subset of the Megami Tensei gaming universe, and it is a follow-up to Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (1997). The story follows manifested Aion agents Ringo and Figue as they locate and enlist Devil Summoners from opposing factions who are essential to averting the impending apocalypse. In the game, Ringo and her party battle foes in turn-based combat while exploring dungeons within a futuristic city.
Members of the development team behind Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE, including Eiji Ishida and Mitsuru Hirata, who served as co-producers and co-directors, as well as scenario writer Makoto Miyauchi, worked on Soul Hackers 2. Shirow Miwa worked on character designer, and composers from the Monaca studio, under the direction of Keiichi Okabe, worked together on the soundtrack.
In Soul Hackers 2, players assume the role of an artificial being called Ringo, who is accompanied throughout the game by three human allies with various skills. Fully 3D in-engine cutscenes and dialogue sections that combine in-game 3D models with 2D character portraits are used to tell the story.
