The Last of Us Part 2 Gets Some Lovely New Concept Art

Naughty Dog has shared some new concept artwork for The Last of Us Part 2 that also hints at a new companion in the game.

The Last of Us Part 2 was originally set to launch in February next year but it was later delayed to May 2020. The game is one of the most anticipated sequels for the PS4 and was first announced during PlayStation Experience in December 2016.

Naughty Dog finally started to show more of the game after a long period of silence beginning from E3 2018. They shared a release date trailer as well as showcased a lengthy gameplay demo that gave fans some glimpse of the game. One of the controversial decisions that they made with the sequel was to cut the multiplayer which led to the game getting delayed despite getting a February 2019 release date.

After the announcement regarding the removal of multiplayer from The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dog hasn’t shared any more information on the game. They have recently shared their partnership with Cook and Becker to release “gallery-quality prints of concept art from The Last of Us Part II”.

This will be available in a limited edition copy that can be pre-ordered online now. Apparently, more of the concept art was leaked online. It was taken from the limited edition art book for The Last of Us Part 2.

The Last of Us Part 2 will star Ellie as the lead protagonist but the release date trailer also teased the return of Joel. The game will be available on May 29, 2020, exclusively for the PS4.
