Microsoft had announced a major update for Xbox Game Pass lineup in August and it is one of the best ones so far. Here’s what new games are added.
One of the rumors regarding Xbox Game Pass was that it will get Devil May Cry 5 and the announcement will happen at Gamescom. This turned out to be true as the game made its debut on the Game Pass service during the Inside Xbox program held by Microsoft.
Microsoft had multiple updates planned for their Game Pass service in August. First, they shared the small list of initial games that will be coming to the service. They then continued to make minor additions leading all the way to Gamescom where the big titles were finally revealed.

Here are the new games that have been added to Xbox Game Pass in August.
- Age of Empires: Definitive Edition (Out Now for PC)
- Devil May Cry 5 (Out Now for Xbox One)
- Stellaris (Out Now for Xbox One, Planned later for PC)
- Ape Out (Out Now for PC)
- Kingdom Come Deliverance (Out Now for PC and Xbox One)
- Bards Tale IV: Director’s Cut (Out August 27 for PC and Xbox One)
- Blair Witch (Out August 30 for PC and Xbox One)
More are likely going to be announced next month but the biggest release so far is already confirmed. Gears of War 5 will launch with the Ultimate Edition on Game Pass on September 6th.
