Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has received its day one update patching the game to version 1.01. Here’s what you need to know about it.
The file size of this patch is roughly 2.9 GB on PS4. It should have a similar file size on other platforms including the Xbox One and PC. We do know the full game size so this patch should add to it, or perhaps even more patches might get released as the launch draws closer.

The download size of this update is still relatively modest compared to games where the patch size is massive like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

There are three different digital versions of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. One is the Standard Edition at $59.99, the other is the Gold Edition at $99.99, and lastly, we have the Ultimate Edition at $119.99

Gold Edition will include the game and Season Pass. It also offers access to the bonus mission The Way of the Berserker if the game is pre-ordered ahead of launch.
Ultimate Editions Includes the game, Season Pass, and Ultimate Pack. This is in addition to the pre-order bonus mission as mentioned above. The following bonus is part of the Ultimate Pack.
- The Berserker Gear Pack
- The Berserker Settlement Pack
- The Berserker Longship Pack
- A Set of Runes
The game is confirmed to launch on November 10 for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. It will also available to play on PS5 at launch with a free upgrade being offered from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X and S.
