Death Stranding Update 1.04 File Size and Patch Notes

by Ali Haider

Kojima Productions has launched the final day one update for Death Stranding patching the game to version 1.04. Here are the details for this update.

Death Stranding is a brand new IP from Kojima Productions that was developed on Decima Engine in collaboration with Guerrilla Games. There have been three major patches released for the game so far. Surprisingly, the download size of every update has been rather small showing that the game was already in a pretty good state before launch.

While the first update was rather small, the patch size has started to increase as the game gets closer to launch. The new update that patched Death Stranding to 1.03 bumped the file size to 1 GB and it is the same case with 1.04 update that was released today. The full game file size is under 50 GB despite the updates that have been released so far.

The game doesn’t seem to offer any new game plus mode at launch but that might change with an update in the future.

The game is out today, on November 8, for PS4. It is also confirmed to launch for PC in Summer 2020. The average gameplay length is also long for a game of this kind and it is one of the largest games developed by Kojima.
