Marvel’s Spider-Man Update 1.17 Is Out But Don’t Expect Much

by Ali Haider

Marvel’s Spider-Man was unexpectedly updated to version 1.17 today by Insomniac Games. This came hot off the heels of the recent update that added new suits from Far From Home movie.

Marvel’s Spider-Man is one of the most successful video game based on a superhero in the United States. This was confirmed by NPD. The sales of Marvel’s Spider-Man had surpassed Batman Arkham series which was developed by Rocksteady Games. What is more impressive is that this comparison is between a single platform exclusive game with a multiplatform one.

The game has also received remarkable post-launch support from Insomniac Games. It continued to get new updates and free content as far as back in June. It originally released back in September last year and a season pass was also available. This season pass added new suits and three DLC episodes that concluded at the end of 2018.

When Spider-Man: Far From Home was released in Theatres, Insomniac Games released a free update that added the Monkey Suit and Upgraded Suit from the movie. This update was released free for all owners. The same was the case when they added a Fantastic Four related outfit.

Getting this all out of the way, this most recent update that patches Marvel’s Spider-Man to version 1.17 seems to be mostly for fixing bugs.
