The Ascent Continues To Chart In Best Sellers on Steam

The Ascent has proven to be a hit for the developer Curve Digital. It continues to chart in the best sellers on Steam and actually improved its ranking.

The Ascent launched on the Xbox Game Pass for both PC and Xbox consoles. The PC version was Windows 10 and it appeared to lack some of the features found in the PC version on Steam like ray-tracing.

While the Game Pass launch should potentially cut into the sales, this is not the case in theory. It appears to do great on Steam. In its debut week, curve Digital announced that The Ascent was their best launch game with more than $5 million in revenue.

After launching almost 10 days ago, The Ascent has improved its sales ranking and charted in the second position on Steam Top Sellers, just behind Back 4 Blood pre-order, which received a boost thanks to the recent closed beta.

The game had a peak concurrent player count of more than 14K on Steam Charts and has maintained a healthy average of 7K the past few days. The numbers actually go up starting this weekend, which proves that people are continuing to buy it.

The players are also happy with the product so far, based on the rating on the Steam page. It stands mostly positive with more than 5K reviews. There is also a 10% launch discount for the game.

The Ascent is available now for the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. It is available on Game Pass while it has launched for $29.99 with a 10% discount. You can read more about the game in our review.
