Update: A GOG representative has reached out to us and clarified that the new Ubisoft Plus subscription tiers listed in its survey was an error on its part. The mistake has since been corrected and the survey has been updated.
Ubisoft’s premium subscription service, known as Ubisoft Plus, may be on the verge of getting new subscription tiers.
In an online survey conducted by digital storefront GOG, a question regarding the respondent’s interest in subscription services/plans lists brand new tiers for Ubisoft Plus among the options. It’s hard to say whether this was done in error or whether GOG has been briefed regarding these new tiers prior to their public announcement.
Ubisoft Plus New Tiers
The aforementioned tiers for Ubisoft’s premium subscription service, as listed in the GOG survey are as follows:
- Ubisoft Plus Gold
- Ubisoft Plus Deluxe
- Ubisoft Plus Ultimate
It’s unknown at this point what the differences between these Ubisoft Plus tiers are, and what sort of benefits and privileges they will offer to subscribers. Ubisoft has yet to make an official announcement in this regard.
Ubisoft Plus is a subscription-based video game service from Ubisoft, offering access to download and play games from Ubisoft’s library for a single monthly fee. Accessing a library of recent releases, popular franchises, and vintage Ubisoft games is made simpler via Ubisoft Plus. The Ubisoft Plus online subscription entitles subscribers to free game downloads from the Ubisoft Plus library. As new content becomes available, the catalogue is regularly updated.
The publisher announced the new subscription service at E3 2019. On September 3, 2019, Windows were able to begin using the service, which was formerly known as Uplay+. Uplay+ changed its name to Ubisoft Plus in October 2020 and announced that US subscribers would be able to access the cloud gaming services of Amazon Luna and Google Stadia in November 2020 and December 2020, respectively.
Additionally, Ubisoft revealed plans to make Ubisoft Plus available on PlayStation consoles in May/June 2022 as a part of the updated PlayStation Plus subscription service, with Ubisoft Plus Classics available on the Extra and Premium tiers. Later in 2022, Ubisoft announced that it also intends to make Ubisoft Plus available on Xbox consoles.
