Brazil Rating Board has an updated rating for Mafia 2 for PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. This further adds to a previous rumor regarding a potential remaster.

Brazil Rating Board has updated its rating classification to add three new versions of Mafia 2. They are for the PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. This comes after the game was rated by the Taiwan and Korea Game Rating Board as well. The rating appears to refer to Mafia 2: Definitive Edition which could point towards a remaster for the game.

While the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 version were rated back in 2010, the listing appears to have been updated with a new rating given for the PS4, Xbox One, and more surprisingly, Google Stadia as well.

Take-Two Interactive hasn’t officially announced any port or news of a remaster for Mafia 2, but the official Twitter account of the game has been active as of late and shared a tweet after a long hiatus. All of this could point towards the game getting an official announcement soon.

Mafia 2 was followed up with a sequel for the PS4 and Xbox One. The first Mafia game launched as a PC exclusive and was later ported to PS2 and Xbox. It was developed by Illusion Softworks who were later acquired by 2K and renamed to 2K Czech. The company was later merged into Haner 13 in 2017, the developers behind Mafia 3.
