Persona 5 The Royal was announced by Atlus recently. They are promising more information for it later in April. This news, along with the addition of Joker to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, is leading the fans to speculate that the game could potentially release for the Nintendo Switch.
There have been multiple rumors about Persona 5 on the Nintendo Switch. First, it was about Joker coming to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a DLC character followed by more speculation on what it could mean for the Nintendo Switch. We also heard some rumors about P5 coming to both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch later this year.
It is now time to nip most of the rumors in its bud. Jason Schrier, who is an editor for Kotaku with a solid track record for leaks, has claimed to hear from his sources that there is no Persona 5 coming to the Nintendo Switch. The upcoming Persona 5 The Royal will be exclusive to the PS4.
Persona 5 S is something different from the main game as revealed by Jason. He was quite confident that P5 The Royal is a PS4 exclusive. It doesn’t mean Atlus won’t release a P5 for the Nintendo Switch, but it is not going to be the rumored P5S or P5 TheRoyal.
We will have to wait until April 24 and 25 when Atlus is promising more information on both P5 TheRoyal and P5S, but until then, it is pretty much certain that the game is only coming to the PS4.
