Today is the day when Microsoft will update the Xbox Live Games with Gold free games for all subscribers, but for some users, there is an ongoing issue with Star Wars Battlefront 2 that is avoiding them from getting it for free.
If you haven’t seen the full Xbox Live Games with Gold lineup, Microsoft had announced it at the end of last month. It includes Technomancer, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Outcast: Second Contact, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. The first of these two are out now but Star Wars Battlefront 2 is facing some issue on the Xbox Live Store.

Microsoft has acknowledged that some users are experiencing an issue with redeeming the Star Wars Battlefront 2 free offer with Xbox Live Games with Gold and stated that they are working on a fix for it, but they didn’t give any estimated time on when it will be finished.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 for Xbox Live Games with Gold is not the modern version of the game but the classic Xbox release. The good thing though is that it fully supports the Xbox One X capabilities making it run at a much higher resolution and with a better frame rate, and the game holds up much better this way. On the original Xbox One S, the resolution is still higher than a traditional release but it doesn’t scale up to 4K like on the Xbox One X.
