Shin Megami Tensei III HD Official Website Lists Xbox and Stadia As Platforms

by Ali Haider

Shin Megami Tensei III HD Remaster is coming to the PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 25, but there is no Xbox One or Stadia port.

On the official website for the game, there is a choice to sign up for a newsletter to stay alert on the latest Shin Megami Tensei news and get them in an email from Atlus. In the preferred platforms section, there are two additional platforms that don’t have the game, yet. These are Xbox and Google Stadia.

The mention of Stadia and Xbox doesn’t make any sense since these don’t have any Shin Megami Tensei game as of yet. This could suggest that perhaps Atlus has plans to bring the franchise to these platforms. It could also suggest that Atlus is simply covering all bases here and have no intentions of any port.

Shin Megami Tensei III HD Remaster comes with several improvements including:

  • Remastered 3D models and backgrounds
  • Additional difficulty settings for players of all skill levels
  • Suspend save – save your progress whenever you need!
  • Voiced audio – choose between Japanese and English VO
  • An alternate branch featuring Raidou Kuzunoha

Atlus has also confirmed that the Western release of this HD Remaster will come bundled with all of the post-launch updates that fixed some of the critical issues with this release. Fans who were worried about these issues shouldn’t have to download any update now once the game arrives later in May.

The game is confirmed to release on PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on May 25 and will come with two different editions. One is the Standard Edition at $49.99 and the other is the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99. It includes early access to the game beginning on May 21 and various other bonuses that are not available in the Standard Edition.
