Resident Evil 3 Remake has just launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It follows a RE 2 Remake, but Capcom apparently has a plan for more.

Resident Evil series has seen a resurgence this generation with the RE Engine and games like RE 7, 2, and 3. It has become a stable franchise for Capcom along with Monster Hunter.

There were rumors about a potential RE Code Veronica Remake but it wasn’t really in development or under consideration. Capcom might change that approach and could remake another game in the series. This can be Resident Evil 4, which is a logical choice after the release of 3, or Code Veronica, which is a cult classic in the series.

The survey was found and shared by ResetERA user Jawmuchner and it is limited to the Asian region. One of the questions asked in the survey is about a potential new remake in the series.

Given the fact that RE Code Veronica was rumored to be out of consideration, it could range for a number of games in the series. Capcom could go back and bring RE Outbreak, which was a spin-off in the series that brought online multiplayer for the first time in the series.

They could also remake the first-person Gun Survivor series as a VR game. There are many possibilities here for a remake, even going as far back as to touch the sacred RE 4.

It has been speculated that one of the RE games that will launch in 2021 is a mainline game. It is rumored to be Resident Evil 8 and it will be a cross-gen game that will launch next year.
