Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled fans can buckle up and get ready for the new Grand Prix. An update to version 1.08 was released today on PS4 adding the Grand Prix support and more.
Activision had announced the Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled update for August 2nd. This was confirmed to add the Back N. Time Grand Prix to the game replacing the current Nitro Tour. The new characters were also confirmed to launch along with this update including the Baby version of Crash and Coco Bandicoot.
The update for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is out now on PS4 and should release shortly afterward on other platforms including Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. It will reportedly add microtransactions to the game as well which has managed to stir some controversy.
Right now, there is no list of daily, weekly, themed or quick challenges available for this Grand Prix since the update has just gone live. Just like it was the case with Nitro Tour, players will have to either grind to get the new unlockable characters and customizations, or they can opt to pay real money for it with the added microtransactions.
CTR Nitro-Fueled has a roadmap for future updates that also includes adding character like Spyro The Dragon. Some other secret characters were also datamined that will be available in a future update. The game has received solid support from developer Beenox who has also recently updated the Nintendo Switch version to reduce its load times.
