Sega has announced the release date for Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It will be out on November 13 while the PS5 release is still undecided.
Sega has shared the release date for the next Yakuza game which is due out on multiple platforms. This is the first time Yakuza has debuted simultaneously on multiple platforms. It was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 4 but was gradually released first for PC and then Xbox One.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a brand new chapter in the series that is the first game after the departure of Kiryu. He was the lead protagonist of almost every mainline Yakuza game. There are more than six mainline games in addition to spin-offs that have been released for the series so far. The overall sales of the Yakuza series have surpassed 12 million units worldwide. It is developed by Ryu Go Gotoku Studio.
To celebrate the release date announcement, Sega has also shared a trailer for the game. This trailer gives an overview of the various gameplay mechanics in Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
The new protagonist is named Ichiban Kasuga. He will take the lead role in this game. Unlike the traditional Yakuza games which are action-heavy and offer a brawler focused combat system, this new entry takes a radical approach fo its combat. It makes every battle a turn-based battle with role-playing mechanics. There are more than 20 jobs to take in the game for Ichiban Kasuga.

The game is already available in Japan and will make its western debut on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 13. It will also launch for the PS5 at a later date.
