Death Stranding won’t be out until November 8 but there is already a second update out for it. Here’s what you need to know about this update.
As we reported first, there was a day one update available for Death Stranding that is just under 400 MB. It was a very small update that patched the game to version 1.02 and this was the only update available until the review embargo, which lifted on November 1. After the embargo was lifted, a major one GB update has been released by Kojima Productions for the game.

Death Stranding update 1.03 is available to download now for PS4 and this is likely going to be the only patch that will be available at launch. It has bumped up the file size from under 400 MB to just around 1 GB. It is still a relatively small update compared to other games.

Save data created in version 1.03 cannot be used with an earlier version.

Just before the review embargo was lifted, it was confirmed that the game will be coming to PC in Summer 2020. Other details like the file size were also confirmed before the launch on November 8. It is a lengthy game that will take a lot of time to complete.
